Water Pump DIY

I'm looking for a goof DYI on a waterpump replacement. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Many thanks.

Sorry guys, I meant good, not goof!

Find the electronic 996TT manual. It's in the pdf. It's worth the read.

The short is, pull the exhaust, partial drop on the engine. This is not your usual do it yourself.

Thanks Kevin. I love pulling this car apart so I will give it a shot. The Germans are so logic. My attitude is if I can't put it together I will simply call my mechanic and they will flatbed it to the shop, parts in a box.

My mechanic is the same way...encourages me to try and fix it on my own and welcomes fixing my mistakes/inabilities. My mechanic even does house calls if the repair doesn't require a lift or special tools. However, some mechanics I know get offended by this and actually charges more to finish.
