Default Took off hydronic pump for wing lip

but then decided when it was off the car that I actually like it better with the sock lid miniature "ducktail" look. Plus two motor "vents" from which the hydrologic rods were set in. Seems to be lighter, cooler engine and look classier in my opinion. Does anyone know if these holes/vents will be a bad idea for the engine bay intaking water etc? It seems like it's the same with the ram air on the GT2 wings or the stock deck lid vents that allow water through? Please any suggestions? Should I have a small ram air vent installed? Thanks in advance!

I had my wing hydraulic cylinders rebuilt by Kevin/UMW and installed them today. Wing is fully functional again.
thanks Kevin.

i think it looks cool too, but it may upset balance on car at speed. The holes TECHNICALLY could be utilized for a ram air effect but without proper duct work you’re just aiding in engine bay cooling by having a additional place for air to escape. I’m in no means a expert though

Thanks for the responses! I'm wondering if water getting in there(even though it does already?) would cause harm to anything? I'd be willing to create ram air ducting if it would actually be safe for everything. In the rare occasion that I do take the car to higher speeds it seems to handle fine.. the wing hasn't worked since I bought the car 4 months ago. Maybe being lower and the front bumper are helping?

I've failed it as it's been sold.

Feeling down but the thought of a GT Porsche keeps me alive

Wine pickup + OBD readiness drive. First nice weekend in a month in central CA. It turns out the ride home from a local winery, a twisty but steady 45 MPH ride on Uvas Road through beautiful foothills, is just right for resetting the OBD readiness sensors.

Finally got around to installing my EBWerks "Fixed" Wing kit. I currently have it set in the highest position which is a bit higher than stock. I think the extra height would look really good with a Strosek style wing. May be too high for stock wing blade. But I'll see if I get used to it. If not, it has 12 different positions of adjustability, including full down position. I really like the look of the black anodized cylinders. This isn't my permanent fix. But it'll be good until I figure out what direction I want to go. Leaning towards a 996 GT2 rear decklid/wing. On Friday I saw a silver GT2 driving down the street and it reminded me how good they look in person! Btw congratulations to the person driving the GT2 (or possibly Turbo with GT2 bodywork and badge), still had dealership stickers on it, so they must have just purchased it!

New function first motor mounts and the street orange transmission mount stiffener.

I like the way they firm up the rear and give a little more feel. Still civilized but a little more growl that you can feel thru the seat/trans.

With this and the numeric shifter, it's awesome running thru the gears.

Remaining projects in the near term:

Brake bleed
Paint correction
Repair visor mirror cover

Always looking for tweaks...

Changed the transmission fluid in my '02 today and it made a huge difference in shifting. The fluid was charcoal soup and was probably original. I've recently had the PSM Failure indicator, accompanied by ABS shutting off, so the theory was the fluid may be causing PSM problems. Time will tell.

I also changed the oil sending unit (the dreaded Oil Pressure Indicator light), fixed a rattle in the exhaust (loose bands) and verified that my spoiler hydraulic unit is not functioning. 3 hours labor for the whole shebang.

What gear oil did you use? Mobil Delvac 75w90? Factory Mobilube PTX? Something else? (I'm assuming six speed...)
