Yup... I used to describe mine has having big block chevy torque from 2800 RPM all the way to 5K Rpm. and the curve on HP would pick up nicely before that rpm... Running down superbikes will be no problem Lance!

Enjoy and be safe!

For those interested, I run the same package here in Australia (as I know a few others do).

Kevin has been a huge help and taken ALOT of time with both myself and the local workshop to answer a multitude of questions and queries via email. I'm really thankful for his time.

I thought I would provide a quick update on my car thus far in this thread rather than start an entirely new one.

My car made 256kw at all 4 wheels stock (343 hp). With Kevin's 2a kit on pump fuel we made 328 kw at the wheels (440 hp). I'm off to the drag strip this weekend with the aim to give the car a good run down the 1/4.

So a 97 hp improvement over stock? A simple flash would get you close to that . That doesn't sound right.

Yeah, its on a dyno dynamics dyno. Not a dynojet.

It trapped 127 mph at the local strip when I was data logging the car, a simple flash doesn't add 12 mph over stock in the 1320!

Keep the updates coming. I believe the extra 100 hp is very impressive! The flash boosts the torque, but the improved hardware, turbos, is what it takes to increase the hp throughout the upper rpms.

Thanks Lance, I will do. Kevin has all the dyno sheets for the car we have run on pump fuel so would have a comparison against the US dynos and his own that he runs his kit on.

I'm not concerned about the overall power number as there is such a variance between dyno manufactures, more so interested in how the car drives and the performance. I'll post an update when I have one.

Cheers,
Ben

I find the numbers interesting, I had a flash from Kevin and then went whole hog on a stage 2a kit, Europipe, LWFW/clutch ext . He estimated 440 HP from the logs. I thought the kit would be good for more than a 100hp over stock.
The car is faster that the flash but it is hard to quantify as i don't have original data or logger anymore. I am putting her on the Dyno in two weeks and will post the results up here so we can have some comparisons.

I don't have any video, I went back out on Sunday to WSID with FullBoost and his 993 TT which has a flash/chip on it. The 996 pulls away hard from 3rd gear, the trap speed at half track isn't that different. It motors in 3rd and 4th though and pulls about 8mph advantage in the back half of the track. I'll dig up some of the slips.

The weather was really hot and humid- it was 112 F at 11am when we cleared scrutineering and got hotter during the day. I aimed to just do some data logging and send the files over to Kevin to have a look at.

It ran 11.5 @ 127. All passes were in the 11s with the trap speed in the 125-127 range, very consistant. The 993 was running in the low to mid 12s at 112-114 mph.

Every car is going to perform slightly differently... When I had my 996TT with Kevin's software and original K16/24 hybrids (not the zero clearance or 2As) I was able to run 11.4s at 127MPH on Pzeros with serious traction issues.

Kevin knows his poop for sure.

As a noob to the porsche world I was wondering how UMW/Kevin's tuning compares to places like EVOMSit? I've never heard anything about UMW, but this thread seems to speak pretty highly of their tuning.

Also, how much does the stage 2a setup cost with the bigger turbos? What sort of power are you guys making on that setup?

Roberto, mine has Kevin's 2a ZC turbo kit. It will run a mid 11 at 127 mph (in Sydney summer heat at 112+ f)
