GT2 front bumper
A question for you gents:
At our last DE hit a cone at a high rate of speed, did some damage to the front bumper near the edge of the left radiator grill opening. It's fixable, but I've been thinking of going the GT2 route.
For those of you that have done it, have you gone OEM, or aftermarket?
If "option b", what brand?
I'm also gonna do the rear GT2 (fixed) wing, liking the one from better bodies, along with their "GT3" ram air lip.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
Jose

I went with a Precision Porsche GT2 front. Fit and finish are very good and took very little prep from the body shop. I had them paint it and I installed it myself.

The bumper itself is only the tip of the iceberg. There are hoses, brackets, ducting, and inner fender wells to finish the conversion right. It isn't cheap, but looks great and works... I'd like to get a real GT2 tail too, but the GT2 look on the car works for now.
I have a list of part numbers I replaced, but check Mikelly posts and you'll find it.

I finished up the conversion on my car once I bought it. It already had the GT2 bumper on it. I made all the ducting functional, replaced the brackets relocating the radiators, and updated the ducting to get air to the brakes. It's amazing the amount of warmth felt at the top of the opening now...

Thanks guys, "rainey", your car looks great! We'll be almost twins, save for the stripes. My car is also red and I'm sporting the same rear wing. Did your bumper came with that front lip? It looks amazing!

I'm getting ready to do this myself. I already have an oem bumper and about half of the misc parts to do the complete job. I'm **** about using oem parts and doing the installation as the factory designed it.
jbossolo - It really comes down to your caring about oem or not. oem = $$$ and aftermarket is much less expensive. I'd say aftermarket if you are not going to change over the radiator, etc.
raineycd - is that Precision Porsche bumper and lip fiberglass or duraflex type?

Cool, just talked to him.
Where did you get the GT2 style fron diffuser (center radiator "out" vent)?
I was thinking of doing the CF one, but it's $700 at Suncoast!!!
Thanks!

In 1million years, I'd not do the bumper cover without doing the proper ducting/radiator repositioning/ airflow... You're really missing the jist of doing it if you just do the bumper... Not a knock on rainey's swap, but what I love about Porsche is their approach to motorsport engineering. No "non-functional" parts from the factory...
And here's the kicker... It's not a hard conversion with the right parts, and if you follow the DIY, you could make it 110% functional and aerodynamically correct. It's not "that" expensive... Call Ryan Buter at Suncoast and tell him Mike sent you.
