I'm only on my second clutch, first one was replaced at 373k only because a bearing went and cracked the pressure plate, my only concern was fatigue at the springs, there was at least 80% friction material left, this car sees bumper to bumper traffic every day for long stretches.....just one data point

You are really setting some records here.. A tt with 590k miles.. A clutch with 373k... All the best, keep going..

agree re clutch life. i changed this one at about 90k and don't even remember why. now at 160k my goal is to live long enough to need to replace the clutch again. all my previous 911's have been "broken in" at btw 30 and 50k miles. this one took 100k.

T2's anecdotal reports are inspirational.

Good to know about the clutch lifespan seem to be over engineered like the rest of the car, if not drag racing at each traffic signal should last forever.

Sorry if this has been covered but are your coolant lines pinned or welded?

We welded coolant lines when engine was out, they were not leaking, it was preventative

I've replaced ps pump and one hose, for the annoying squeal, TSB on that.

Was that when you pulled the engine at 383k?

Yes Dock, 383k, no leaks prior, just good practice while engine was out

No doubt that pinning or welding is not a bad idea if the engine is out. I just think that a 383k mile data point with no leaks is noteworthy.

Why? I have seen cars with 20k miles blow pipes. Mileage has nothing to do with it.
