Started with the UMW flash, Europipe Stage 2 Loud, and PSS10s......was very happy with the performance and drove with just these mods for 2 years. I could have easily stopped there and called it a day and never looked back.

But then I started to read Rennlist posts on the subject, including many from the distinguished members that have posted to this thread. Kevin also contributed to my interest Now I'm in Kevin's shop getting his Stage 2A kit, car should be ready soon and its like I'm a teenager again!

Or you could build your own...

I did and I love it!

What did we do?

GT2 Front and Rear aero to include the fully functional front radiator ducting
GT2 Slave Cylinder modification to the clutch hydraulics
GT2 plastics in the fenderwells
GT2 Rideheight and setup via split control arms/thrust bushings/coil overs
GT2/3 6piston calipers with 350MM rotors front and rear
RWD complete conversion to include removing the front differential, axles, driveshaft
Rear wiper Delete
Transaxle Cooler
Updated transaxle build (to include a guards LSD)

The car already had Kevin's turbos/software/fuel/wastegates!

And more rare. That there's a one-of-a-kind. There's like 300 GT2's in the states.

<sigh> So when I biought this car 4.5 years ago, every GT2 I looked at was stock and over $100K to think about buying... Most were in the $120K range and ALL were stock.

I bought a car that had 9100 miles on it, was modified shortly after purchased by the original owner, with Kevin's K16/24 turbos, Custom valved PSS9s, GT2 Rear wing, and about $30K in receipts for work he did to the car... For about $30-50K less than ANY GT2 I was looking at...

Over the last 4.5 years I've tracked this car, modded this car, documented it heavily and shared my experiences with the masses... Along the way I was able to stumble across a GT2 front bumper/parts and I've got a total of $5800 in doing the total front end conversion, to include all of the functional ducting/aerodynamics under, and thru the leading vent. Paint included.

That's why I didn't just "buy a GT2".

Are people tracking their car with Kevin's flash? Any issues?

Great to hear! It sounds like they have transformed the car I'm waiting on delivery for a set of Kevin's turbo's at the moment and can't wait to get them fitted up.

Cheers,
Ben

You could say UMW cars are tracked...

This is before I converted to RWD/GT2 nose!! But hey, I'm told by some that the 996TT wasn't "intended" to be tracked...

Yes Kevin, I still have the old tune and I am getting lots of level 2 over revs. I did solve the heat soak problem with ICs. But do not like the over rev codes. Does yours raise the rev limiter? Also, am I ok with a Sachs 2.5 clutch with your tune?

Thanks

z99, do you have a X50? Have you installed a wastegate kit to the K24's?

I can set the RPM's where they need to be based off your flywheel. I typically set the RPM limiter under the type 2 threshold.
