Default one more ? on specs for u.s. vs. euro cars

so do the gear ratios differ as well? top end, ratios per gear, differential, which would affect top end, mpg @ different speeds...being that we are limited in the states to sub-sonic speeds and not so on the bahns... one would think...

For modern Porsches my best info is the gear ratios are the same. Speed limits have nothing to do with it. Porsche does not speed limit its vehicles. Some German automakers do: BMW and Mercedes both do, limiting their cars' top speed to 155mph.

In some markets the cars can be built sans some emissions equipment (IIRC one set of sensors and the converters they monitor which probably requires a different Ecu program to not bother attempting to monitor the non-existent converters). I do not believe there is a leaded gas option, as this would require the absence of any O2 sensors and these are too useful for helping keep fueling on track to do without.

Oh, and there is (used to be anyway) the USA vs. ROW (rest of [the] world) suspension option.

Sincerely,

Macster
