Oh ok I get it, thanks I will look into it. BTW thanks for the referal to check out Carnewal for the steering wheel, what a great wheel at a fantastic price. I just Autocrossed this weekend and the wheel performed great. Only issue is that when you cross hands you may honk the horn, buch better than downshifting. I wish the horn buttons weren't there but not that serious of an issue.

Thanks again,

Tytus

I have just ordered a Carbon/Leather version from Gert and am extemely pleased with the fast response and shipping. Right now the wheel is over the Atlantic ocean and should be here Tuesday to go on my 997 TT Cab Tip.

I have now found the Porsche steering wheel crest at Automotion/Performance Products. Part number is P912853.

I would NOT put that crest on the wheel. It is just a simple stick on and not riveted permanently like the factory one is. If that airbag ever needs to be used you have just added a nice projectile aimed right at you.

Then what would you recommend for a crest. The wheel is very plain without it.

Thanks

Can the cover be taken off the wheel and the genuine crest then installed?

My wheel came with a Raid sticker, but I prefered nothing so I didn't stick it on. A crest sticker would work but if it started to peel that would not be so cool.

Anyone know if a crest sticker exists?

I started by emailing Gert at Crenwal. He replied next morning and I ordered around the 1st. He shipped on the 6th and the wheel is in Vancouver now just caught up in Canadian Customs. I should get tomorrow or Thursday latest - that will be less than 2 weeks including shipping from Belgium to Vancouver, BC.

Gert is extremely quick to respond. When I ordered he said about 5 days to get it together and shipped and he was less than that.

Gert responds very quickly to emails and had infinite patience with all my questions. From the time I placed the order it was less than 2 weeks to get it to my door. He orders the wheels from Raid from Germany and they ship it to him and he resends it to you. Excellent service, I would get anything from them that they sell. The customs fee for the wheel was another $44 on my charge card in case I didn't post that earlier.

I found what seems to be a plastic 3D decal of the Porsche crest. Technical term is a "domed" decal.
About 3/4" wide by 1" tall and very very light. (32mm X 45 mm) Shouldn't peel or act like a "projectile"
Cost was 2.99 Pounds sterling plus shipping. From www.theporscheshop.co.uk
This looks good on the Raid Wheel which is now mounted and is fantastic (I got the Carbon/black from Gert Grewal.
