howz the life compared to stock rotors in street driving?

i assume they will last longer and stop better and warp less on the track then OEM yes?

Not certain that it is physically possible for them to 'stop better' - at least with my life experience I won't claim such a broad thing ;-)

Guys are reporting back an average 2x ++ the life of OEM.

Getting rid of the pesky old fashioned holes (no top tier race teams use holed rotors) is a great thing -

996TT warpage is truly rare anyways, but the grooving which coincides with the way the holes line up equals a premature OEM rotor death.

With a rotor ring replecement cost of 295/drive pins and bolts for 45 per, it truly adds up to an intelligent upgrade
It's the way to go, ESPECIALLY for a 996 TT because of the relatively small rotor diameter coupled with a big car with a TON of HP.

What is the cost of replacement outer rotors and hardware on these?

Thanks!

Holy sh@t...just put these things on the front, w/ some new pads, and OMG it has totally changed the front end.

It feels like the steering is more responsive, and the front end is a little lighter. Can 3lbs less unsprung weight make a noticeable difference? I keep telling myself it's my imagination, but I swear I feel an improvement.

Oh, and it stops good too...

Thanks Craig!

They'll last a lot longer and have higher capacity for hard track use.

The 996TT is the single highest benefactor of this upgrade, more so than any other Porsche -

Craig. Do you just include a 10mm spacer to be installed between the caliper and spindle to make up the 10mm height difference? (350mm rotor Subtracting the Stock 330mm rotor diameter divided by 2 to get the appropriate caliper height difference)

Thx..

Oak, did you have to use the shims? If yes, where do they go? Craig, do you have any info on this? I will be installing my front set in a few weeks.
