buying tubo cab and the car does not have the above combo, which i have in my boxster S. Dealer says price for the shifter is around 300 and change but he is quoting me an outrageous 700 for the brake handle. I believe the brake handles all say porsche, while the ****ers have turbo in script, unlike non turbo shifters which have the porsche emblem. Please let me know if this is correct. I have seen the brake handles for under 400.

Go to the Wanted to Buy forums here and on RennTech and 6 Speed...there are guys who are changing out their shift ***** and brake handles for carbon fibre. I found a beautiful CF shift **** that has Turbo S on it and the fellow only wanted it to read Turbo....what a find for me....since I have the X50, "technically" it's a Turbo S but a few years older.

You also have the unfortunate issue of some guys not being able to hang onto their cars due to the economy...and they're turning them in on lease or selling them.....a lot of them are modded and Im sure they'd rather recoup a little of their mod money before it sold or went back to the lease company.
