[QUOTE=Chuck Jones;4602871]Condor: Those are STUNNING pictures...and they give me a really good idea of how it's going to look. However my garage looks nothing like yours....and that gallery of cars you have in the background is awesome. Thank you so much for the pics....they will definitely keep me anxiously waiting for that transport to show up. I'll save off those photos...
Chuck,
Unfortunately those cars and garage are not mine. They belong to a car dealer in Australia.
I am actually building a 3 car garage with a lift that will be completed in 8 weeks which I am planning to be my new home!!
I'll post the pictures once I am finished.
Good luck with the new Car!

I'm sure you can not wait until your car arrives....you will love it. Mine is also my daily driver and I look forward to driving it everyday. The weather in Miami is crappy today and decided to leave the car at home. I spent a good portion of the day yesterday cleaning her up and did not want the work to go to waste. I car pooled with the misses this morning and am having withdrawl symptoms as I write this...
Good luck, drive it in good health and post lots of pics when the car arrives..

RCAM: Start looking now....even though you're not quite ready, I spent hours and hours surfing all sorts of websites, using Google search for "Porsche X50", taking to fellow Rennlisters who had the cars and colors I wanted etc. It was actually quite satisfying to do all the research and learn as much as I could about the various models and years....who liked what and why. When I started, I had planned to sell my 996 and wait for the sale to start searching in ernest, but the fire accelerated the opportunity considerably....and I cant' say enough about how professionally AAA handled the claim and settlement.
I had even thought about buying another 996 C2 because of how light it feels on its feet as opposed to the 996TT that really feels a bit laggy...but I've been lusting on the 996TT board in lurk mode for some time....and am now really looking forward to the day the transporter drives up in front of the house.
But the message is still....take your time...have some fun looking and learning. There are some really helpful folks on this particular forum.....I've been IM'ing some of them for some time....they're extremely helpful.

Yes...one hell of a lead...with only 4500 miles on it....but since you've asked first, I'll PM you to give you the first shot. I was back and forth between these two and finally settled on the blue one.

Congratulations Chuck.. seriously, I'm thrilled for you. The 996TT is such a fantastic platform (we've gone through all of the reasons before etc...) and I know you're going to be happy!
