Rolled fenders?
I am looking for close up pics of rolled fenders. Also if anyone is running H & R coilovers, set to GT-2 height, and rolled fenders..that would be better...
I am running 19" RUF rims (11.5 width)

Lydon,
I may be in the same boat as you in the near future, in that I will need to assess whether rolling the fenders will be necessary when I lower my car. I want to point out another aspect of it that is not (if ever) often discussed.
Besides other purposes, the existing inner fender lip (return) serves to stiffen the fender structurally. In almost all cases, rolling the fenders will not make a bit of difference from a strength perspective, but, in the unlikely event that someone leans on the fender, it has a higher liklihood of creasing if it has been rolled. Now who leans on the car's fenders to begin with? Not me so it is probably a non-issue. This tendency, however, is coupled with the fact that 996 fenders are pretty straight (compared to the more curved shape of say a 993). The 993's more curved shape lends a little more stiffness.
Nonetheless, if you (and I) want the wider wheels and tires and want the lower car, it may be a necessary evil. Good luck. Please post your outcome.
Msindi,
Which PSS-9 setup did you go with? They all have different valving and some have different spring rates.
Ruf's?
FVD's?
Carnewal's?
Other?

I have my car lowered 25mm in the front and 40mm in the rear. It was supposedly set to Gt2 specs but my car seems a lot lower than any GT2 I have seen. Here is a pic Prior to installing body kit. It has since been raised a tad. I do have the rear fenders rolled and still get a little rubbing when I go into a corner hard. The Techart's are 19 X 11 for your info.

I will likely use the GT2 specs, unless I opt for the X73 suspension. As I understand it, the X73 will lower the US front 35mm (1.38") and the US rear 25mm (1").

Lydon.....check out my posts in the HRE wheel thread.
Whether you need fender prep is a function of several different factors, so a blanket statement might get anyone in trouble.
On the upside.......the 996 paint & chipguard is fairly soft, and in the hands of a good body man, rolling probably will not crack......and it can buy you signif additional room (if you choose not to raise, go more neg camber, stiffen springs/shocks/sways, go slightly narrower on the tire (Conti treads are wider than Yoks in 315), go slightly higher on the offset, etc, etc, etc. )

Lydon,
here is a pic of my setup which sounds similar to yours, with no fender rolling. The suspension is lowered 35mm all around with 19x11 and 19x8.5's. I have never had any rubbing issues with this.
