Yup--my dealer told me that the X50 will not be a limited production option for '03

Don't be surprised if it becomes standard in 04! The last year of this 996tt.

Hmmm, I doubt it would be standard. Hell, Floor well lighting isn't standard. Also that would mean the MSRP would go up. <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

A friend just got his '02 996TT-X50 yesterday.
It is very fast. 450HP?

Is the option to be offered in 2003 a Porsche factory tuning through the "exclusive department" which keeps the existing components and raises the bhp to 445 or the x50 option with the GT2 engine, transmission and exhaust enhancements? My understanding is that the 2003 tuning will cost $11K versus $17K. Is there any difference between the two performan ce upgrades or are we just paying a big premium for getting our cars a little earlier. If we are there are going to be alot of mad Porsche x50 owners who paid the premium. Anyone know the correct answer?
