Question Which 996 for drivers ed?

Which 996 makes the best car for a new beginner at a drivers education event? Is there a natural progression of cars for example buy a C2 first then a C4S then a turbo then a GT2 or is the C2 not the best 996 to learn in at the education events?

The Carrera GT is the best for starters. Just wait until you get yours.

There is a really easy way to prove you are not Ken (and PorscheGT34Me). You see the place at the bottom of the post that gives IP address. Well, the admins have access to that - they already know if you and Ken are one in the same. Oh, oh - I bet you didn't know that about virtually all web boards. Now us ordinary users can't see this info but Viken and John can. So how about you tell the admins that it is OK to tell the rest of us whether the three addresses are the same or not.

So what do you say Dash/Ken/

PorscheGT34Me?

Who cares who he is?

The best 996 in my opinion would be a STOCK 996 C2 coupe with PSM, M030 and the 18inch Carrera wheels. (That is what the PDE uses)Get a harness bar and 5 point harnesses. Use street tires only till you progress enough to get into the sticky tires thing. Unless, of course, you are already an accomplished track junkey, then a GT3.

Okay X50, you asked for it. I have received some information that is quite humerous. Seems it has been passed around many Rennlist users and eventually found its way to little old Dirt Track Racer.

First the backgroud: Dash is Ken Smiley, you can see his website here It seems he is a science fiction fan, hence the obscure Star Wars character as his alter ego once he was called out. Ken thinks he is being stalked on Rennlist and so he took it upon himself to find the rat.

He embarked on what can only be a fantasy journey the likes of which no mortal has seen - at least until the upcoming Harry Potter book tonight. He has fabricated characters, and email correspondences, and rennlist posts in his search for the mole. He claims he has found the mole, but wont tell anyone who it is.

Here is an exact cut and paste from Kenny today explaining his actions and reasons for this fantastic journey:

Subject Re: Ken2KS - DashRendar996

Let me let you in on a little secret. A few days ago I approached John and
Jen about an issue I was having with a user on Rennlist and I suspected this
user was getting some additional "assistance" with their antics. The events
of the last 2 days with the Ken2KS account et al was by design. Note I've
copied John in on this who can confirm. I suspected that at least one user
and one moderator at Rennlist were involved with providing private
information about myself. The "tirade" of the last two days was designed to
expose those individuals. Those individuals have been exposed. Note I
haven't posted in the Cayenne section all day, yesterday's thread attracted
the attention I wanted and today's continuance of items only available to
moderators/admins flushed out the other. I sincerely apologize if this
takes away your "fun", but it was something that had to be done. I don't
take offense to your remarks, you only helped fill in the holes so to speak.
Rest assured that I will go back to my normal posting routine, which is
basically few and far between unless I have a particular question that needs
answered. Thanks for your unknowing and unwitting assistance, I hope you
don't carry any grudge that these threads went down like they did, I
certainly don't hold a grudge against you. I hope you'll let the threads die
off so John doesn't have a mess to clean up, or now that the threads have
served their purpose, John please close them if you wish. Again, my
sincerest apologies for playing the part the last couple of days, I hope you
know it was never anything personal against you folks, just the person who
had taken extreme steps to attack me and members of my family.

Thanks,
Ken

So it seems Kenny has concocted quite the fable and he has only sold it to himself. I truly hope he likes his science fiction world, as it seems like he spends a lot of time there.

Sincerely,

DTR

Alright, now I guess I care. This guy Ken2kS has been a troublemaker for 2 years on this board. He was incessent about his bashing of the Cayenne, told us all his FX45 was the best, sold his Boxster and wanted this crowd to confirm he made the right choice. I, for one, have had enough of him. Ban the IP address or whatever...
