Default Fabspeed Super Sport Maxflow

I am looking to buy a aftermrket exhaust. I am looking at the Fabspeed Super Sport Maxflow muffler system. I own a 911 2001 Turbo. I want a system that does not drone in the cabin of the car at low speeds but has a deep growl and throaty sound when I get on the car.

TIA

Jags

Yes it does drone, and no its not quiet . Quieter would have been the better word for it (refering to the supersport which is louder and drones more than my straight pipes )

Well ****! That was not the answer I was looking for. I was trying to keep my nice, high end, sports car tastefully quiet. Every car I've ever had was loud, and it finally wore me out. I hate pulling up to a valet line at a nice restaurant in a loud, obnoxious car. It would be great to be able to talk to the poon sitting in the passenger seat too. That really sucks.

I've got Fabspeed quiet and I love it. Don't listen to the others...Try it for yourself to determine if it is right....Sound is highly subjective...Lots of guys love their Fabspeed systems....Mine has been flawless and I would not trade it for anything else. As for drone...I don't know what the hell these guys are talking about...it just sounds great all the time....Best upgrade.

OK I read your concerns again...I have had my Fabspeed Quiet for about 20,000 miles.....Sure, it is technically louder than stock, but not crazy loud....To my ear it is tastfully loud, and it enhances the natural "Porsche" sound of the Turbo motor. For some reason, people either really like these exhausts or they develop an atittude about them....not sure why, but I am in the former camp.

I agree exhaust is subjective, but I am a pretty young guy who LOVES loud exhausts (and has a sport bike with very loud exhaust) and my Fabspeed SuperSport was even a bit loud for me and the drone gave me a headache after 20 mins.. I have been in many cars with the Fabspeed quiet as well and the drone was also too much for me... I am speaking from experience as well, so don't write it off so quickly. I prefer Europipe, Cargraphic, RUF, FVD (Of course because thats what I chose even before working here), etc. to the Fab quiet. They all make about the same loudness, but a more "Porsche" sound and much less resonence.
Just my honest opinion,
Evan

I've driven mine all across the west...usually in big chunks like Denver to Vegas, 750 miles. Never had a moment of ear discomfort....but rather pure enjoyment.

I'm young too, and I have traditionally had very loud cars. I actually had straight pipes on one of my Vipers. I'm just getting sick of the noise. I like to think of my Porshe as sort of a fast luxury car, so I ask myself if I would put a loud exhaust on my Lexus? lol Nope. Oh well, mine is on the way, so I'll try it, and if it sucks I'll peddle it to someone else. Swapping them is fairly easy, huh?
