I have had the Europipe 2 quiet for going on two years now. Very satisfied with it, not too loud and no resonance, or drone to speak of.
My advice is to ride in one before you buy! And unfortunately sometimes you like something you ride in for a while and then you get one put in......two weeks later all of that noise you thought was cool begins to bother you while you're listening to your Michael Bolton tapes. Seriously, try before buy.
As a person active in PCA I have seen and heard lot's of exhausts on different models. When you get that cabin drone or resonance and your teeth fillings start picking up WKRP in Cincinnati you will wish you could tune out the buzz! I have made an expensive mistake in the past.
Also, on the hp issue.....most of the quality systems will add some power. As stated above so well 5 HP isn't going to get you further to the front at Lemans or on the way home. Also look at the power/torque curve carefully. Some add more torque down low, others put the power on the upper end of the rev range.
But, listen first is the best advice I could give.
