Mine had square holes cut into the bumper which were covered by color matched plugs.

My '02 came from the factory with front license plate holes. I plugged them with color matched plugs purchased from BumperPlugs.com.

I just keep mine on the dash in a plastic bag- never been hassled by the Police.

agree ^^ i would NEVER have a license plate on the dash.

last "no plate displayed" fixit ticket i got was just after the fires in SoCal and I was a 1/2 mile from my burned down house and the cop cited me even as i showed him the plate on the floor of the rear, saying i had removed it to wash the car. i explained i had forgotten to re-install it and was here to see the remains of my property a cpl turns down the mountain and he said "sorry about your house".

put the plate on, here's your ticket. he was a *****.

Their customer service absolutely sucks. I have one and wouldn't buy another.

Agreed, I also didn’t have any mounting holes in my front bumper nor did I want to drill any holes. The US Millworks tow hook mount is solid and a very good product and easy install. It is a little pricy but worth the money IMO. Had it on for the last five years and no problems.

Around here, the meter maids (who are pretty much the only ones that care about front plates) will ticket you just as quickly for displaying your license plate on the dash as not having one at all...

Since it is only the meter maids seems to care in Colorado, it is easy enough to avoid the problem. If I'm in an area with paid parking or other restrictions that meter maids patrol for, I just pull into a private lot.

Another option is to epoxy some strong magnets to the backside of the bumper cover and then add a strip of steel (or more magnets) to the back of the plate, along with some felt or clear bra to protect the paint. Then the plate is easy on/easy off if you're the type to want to be able to easily remove it for whatever reason.
Now that's I idea I'd have never thought of. I like it!
