May long road trip....

Is it the part of your leg below the point of contact that goes to sleep, or your leg below your hip that goes to sleep?
Depending on how you're built and your specific seating position, the 996 Turbo's seat (which at least for me is a poor design for long sits) can compress your right sciatic nerve in the area of the hip and cause the right leg to exhibit symptoms of falling asleep (and actually fall asleep) if given enough time in compression.
When I drive my Turbo longer distances I take 10-15 minute (or longer) stops every 1.5 to 2.0 hours or so to decompress the nerves and move the blood around. I also try to change positions enough while sitting in the seat to help out between stops.

At least in my case any issue I experience is associated only with sitting in the driver's seat of my 996 Turbo.
I don't have any leg weakness, pain, cramping, back pain or any issue with standing for long periods of time (or when I walk).

The front of my car looks good; the paint on the hip arches though have long lines as if someone took a wire brush and went back and forth. No swirls though.

Dock in fact gave me another idea - I was thinking that instead of padding my seat with memory foam, I could make a 'pad' out of it and wear it on my right shin.
If I am in fact cutting off circulation in a bad way, in theory a large enough area of pad would distribute the load over my leg in such a way where it may no longer go numb ....

For whatever reason, my car came from the factory without that console. I liked the idea of having a little more storage, so I bought a used one from eBay. But it sure looks clean without....and I definitely remember a little more legroom as well.
PS...this my 996th post, so I'll just lurk for a bit and enjoy this special post count!

I do like the look, problem is I just spent a wack of dough updating the head unit to Bluetooth, so even though I really like the cleanliness of the look, I am thinking wrapping my leg in memory foam may have some benefits....

That is exactly what I thought...

It makes me want to removed the center console and then replace it with one of those things from the 80's that has to cup holders and a tiny trash bin and tissue holder. Somehow Google can't read my mind and do the image search, but I know someone else has to remember those.

Made it to Canada's desert, what roads! 500kms of deflowering definitely works up some hunger! Pity I can't park as well as I drive....
