My brother in law and I drove from Philly to Houston exactly two years ago.
Had a new battery put in the day before and a proper PPI done in PA before heading to Houston.
No issues, over 1500 miles and many states to crash with friends along the way.
Im looking forward the next trip, wherever that is...
Congrats on your trip.

So if you are to look to the left of the frame, you will see that the entire door assembly has been taken apart - it was bench tested and now appears to be working correctly, so it will be installed, along with the sways this afternoon. Sexy new exhaust tip sounds of fun to come...

All done! Except for the end links which didn't seem to want to cooperate! Door fixed, new SE exhaust tips on - and they make a significant difference to the drone in the car and are notably quieter, yet still have the 'Banshee Scream' when called upon.
Turns out the problem with the door assembly was that the radio guys didn't really align it properly, seems to work better than new now!
And the most important win today is the triumphant killing of the squeak coming from the right rear - I haven't had a chance to look at the bushings that were changed today, but my god am I happy that this is gone - drove me absolutely nuts.
So, all that remains is to check the integrity of my 16 Y/O spare, pick up some tire sealant, pack and roll out bright and early Friday AM! Cannot wait, and thanks everyone for the helpful tips!
Cheers,

That's handy, especially without the use of stimulants.
We, however, must crash, as we, must be productive in the AM...

So, in checking the tire and safety gear, I found the original latex gloves still in their little bag!

Much to the irritation of co pilot, I have managed to fit a full compliment of tools!
