If you don't mind saying, where did you get them converted and how much did it cost? You started with K16's?

the question is more appropiate for your tuner. k16 billets hit hard. so keep the torque soft down low and bring it back in after 3500 rpm. for me its apples to pancakes since im fully built motor in 3.8 with big turbos running standalone engine management and e85 fuel. torque is set to hit hard as soon as possible and clutch is set to hold 1150 ft/lbs torque. final boost is 35 psi

a 1.2 tune is appropriate for the 16/24 hybrids.

it's actually a 1.1.5, but i dont remember the actual psi conversion. my car's run them no issues rev limiter raised to 7200 for well over ten years. 160k miles. though it's "track days" are behind it.

i'm in no mood to "test" the internals at this stage its "life".

Makes total sense. My mechanic has 3.8 liter sleeves and internals but I am not ready to test the car like that! I just want a nice conservative easy boost that will give me nice straightaway speeds.

Not sure what advice you want but if you want complete reliability don't touch it leave it stock maintain it. If you want to spend a small fortune and never get your investment back I have a detailed build sheet for that!

i'm sure you'll be pleased.

one way to look at the "built" cars here .e.g. pwdrhounds and 32's might be:

they have "race cars" that are street legal.

while we have cars that are street legal that are also perfectly "track capable"

Here is a stroll back in history. It was TTP, RUF and Sportec that developed the K16 hybrids for the 993TT. This winter I have had this set of genuine RUF K16 hybrids in the shop for restoration and rebuilding. They had FOD damage to the turbine wheel, rotted bearing housings, blown wastegate actuators and new backplates. I had a chance to install my first set back in 1998 >>I was able to disassemble the compressor stage and measure the turbine wheel machine work (clipping).

Here are my latest Gen 3 Stage 2A billet K16 Zero Clearance hybrids..
All new Zinc "Gold" Plated hardware, extensive metal removal and porting to the K16 turbine housings

Kevin, these are truly beautiful turbos and I have to say that if I didn’t have anyone walking me through this process, I would have your number on speed dial! Thanks for sharing your comments here and in your other posts. If I end up needing anything I will give you a shout out

i think a lot of people already know Kevin here, but his website here is pretty dang cool:
