Default Garage Queen Maintenance

Hello all, long time member, (I think) first time poster...

996tt purchased in May of 2014 with ~49k miles
Driven lightly until serviced (oil change and inspection at Porsche dealer) in Dec 2016 with 55,558 miles
Driven barely and serviced (again, oil change and inspect at Porsche dealer) in Jan 2018 with 56,736 miles

Is there any necessary maintenance I should be doing here besides annual and inspection?

Thanks,

Tim

Porsche recommends fresh brake fluid every two years. More important in humid climates I imagine. Here in the desert not so much.

with so few miles being added annually. i think you're doing it properly. only thing i wonder is if you're trickle charging the battery! or not.

1000 miles is two years! that is a car, that will maintain its VALUE!

Depending on your location, adding fuel stabilizer would be recommended. If not using car for an extended period top off the tank helps minimize condensation. If you don't have previous maintenance history, change the trans fluid, front differential, plugs and coils. Porsche says coolant is good forever.. I'll probably change the coolant on my 14k mile tt this spring when it comes out of hibernation.

I agree with all the above comments. I drive my SC less than 1000 miles a year now and these are what I do for maintenance.

Bought my car from a guy who'd driven it 3000 miles in 6 years, it had 29k miles on it total. I changed the brake fluid, air filter, cabin air filter, spark plugs/coil packs, tires and the seller had done an oil change right before I bought the car.

Plugs every 4 years regardless of miles.

What is the reasoning for changing every 4 yrs? I changed out my originals last yr, they looked pretty good for 14yrs old. Was a bit worried they might be frozen, but they came out with no issue.

Seized plugs and pulling threads out of your cylinder head. I have a picture that I will try and post..

Here is the factory schedule. I like looking at the Euro recommendations.

Man, maybe I should look into doing some work on mine. I just picked up a 2003 with 13k miles. Only thing done to it recently was fluid changes.
