I got those tips, as my stock ones were too big. They do fill it out and look like they belong there. The car sounds awesome and the power increase is noticeable.

Picking up my 996 w/ x50 on the 13th. I'm out in LI as well, maybe we can meet up some day. I'm sure I'm gonna need to put a new exhaust on, not having much luck finding good videos of exhaust setups that aren't just a cold start and idle...

Thanks, I actually found yours online while I was looking just now. Pretty sure I like the x-pipe design, it seems they give more of a high pitch scream at the upper RPMs vs the ones that are 2 separate mufflers, is that correct?

I like the idea of the 3in x-pipe w/ cats and stock tips (I have the x54 tips). Not sure If I really want to drop that much money right now though... I didn't plan on getting this car just yet, but got into a bidding war on BaT and got the high bid (worked out a sale with the seller after). Spent like 10k more than I originally wanted to on a car, but it seemed too good to pass up.

What are the spring sale prices out of curiosity?

Welcome!

I may have a Remus exhaust for sale soon if interested. Not terribly loud. If you're into loud, you should hear some in person. I currently have an EB werks x pipe setup. Join the Metro PCA, good group of people. I just moved back to LI myself after living in FL for the last 8 years. Hope to see ya around!

Awesome! I'll look into it. Whenever the weather is nice, I see dozens of Porsches and Ferraris driving on 25a usually all together like they are going somewhere. I guess I can join the big boy club now that I couldn't with my 97 miata or 04 CTS-V lol.

Our muffler is not separate cans, it is one piece and has an internal X-Pipe, same one as the straight thru X-Pipes, except it's perforated inside the muffler. All three provide our great X-Pipe tone and sound exceptional at all RPM's, but especially at the high RPM's. It's mainly a volume choice: 1) sporty & refined 2) moderately aggressive & extremely sporty 3) race-like, high end exotic, very involving and extremely exciting to drive. They all sound fantastic.

I will PM you details/pricing.

For anyone interested, we have a brand new 996 Turbo 2.5 "QUIET" exhaust with 100 cell cats and OEM tip outlets, in stock for immediate shipment. It's discounted off list price due to a barely noticeable, very small ding from handling (pictured). It will have no effect whatsoever on performance or sound and when installed will not be visible. Normally we have a several week lead time, but this one is ready to go. Includes our SpeedTech lifetime warranty. Contact us for details.

John, I'm so glad I saw this post and we got me hooked up again. The sound clips are great but when you hear it on your car you will want your exhaust on your Porsche..... again. Nice to know this is coming to me for my '04 Turbo!

Hi John, can you send me the details on this scratched 996tt “2.5 Quiet” Exhaust? Is it sold???? If so, can you go ahead and drop another one by accident?

Sorry, it's sold. However, we are doing another run of 2.5 quiets now and I have a couple of extras being built that are unspoken for, so far. They should be ready in a few weeks.

I have recently installed the 3 Inch Cat-less Speedtech x pipe. Here's a short video when it was being adjusted. Sound is great and more power!
