Time for new tires, recommendations?

I need to get under the car and look, as my 315 Toyo R888R's on the turbo twists seem to fit better.Checked on Tire Rack, offset is a 45 in the back. It's definitely either the rear fender liner or my front GT2RS brake ducts as its rubbing while going straight, at extremely low speeds and no compression. So there's no way it's the fender lips.

Just to provide another data point, I'm currently running BBS e88s in GT2 sizes 18x8.5 ET36 235/40/18 and 18x12 ET44 315/30/18 on Michelin PS2s lowered on Ohlins recommended settings with no rubbing. No modifications to the fenders or brackets have been done.

I took a quick peek yesterday and didn't see any interference with the rear fender liners of my GT2RS front brake ducts. Hmmm. I'll take a closer look Friday morning...

Figured out the issue. The front tires were rubbing up against the bottom of the front strut housing. I looked at the offsets of the front BBS wheels and they're 18x8.5, ET56, . Contrast that with the GT3 wheels I took off, which are 18x8.5 ET40. Oh. I could even see a bit of tire material on the passenger front strut housing. I then checked Tire Rack and their recommended BBS RS-GT front wheel fitment is an 18x8 ET50. Yeah, I'm inboard about 13mm compared to that.
So I took the 15mm spacers I was using on the rear GT3 wheels and installed them on the front. The pic above is with the spacers installed and you can see I now have clearance, as well as the tire rub mark from before.
So now I basically have the same fitment as the GT3 wheels, 18x8.5, ET41 compared to 18x8.5 ET40. On the rear I can see room to bend the very bottom of the wheel liner bracket in and use a heat gun to massage the fender liner, which I'll probably do tomorrow after I've replaced the half shaft on my SUV.
It's possible that if I ever go to coilovers I won't need the front spacers anymore as the coilover use a much smaller spring perch and spring compared to stock.

Good job.

Just to make sure, are you using longer bolts/studs along with the spacers?

Three Wheelin'
Josh, were the rear tires rubbing as well, or just the fronts?
I have 18x8.5s also, but ET 45. That 245/40 is a big tire @ 25.7" tall, I'd def. like to run it but don't want to deal with clearance issues either.

Just the fronts were rubbing. I run 315 Toyo R888R's for the track and I can see where they've been rubbing on the back, so I will have to bend back the fender liner bracket some and use a heat gun to reshape the fender liner. That's not a huge priority for me tho, as when I bought the car those race tires had already worn a hole in the rear fender liners. So if I ever buy new rear fender liners I'll do it then.
