I also did mine back in '04, right after the end of the wiper blade gouged two deep scratches in my paint.

If my Turbo was an all-weather car (which it is supremely capable of) and driven in heavy rain, snow, sleet, lots of highway grime, etc., the wiper makes sense. And while I can't say it's never driven in the rain, if the weather looks rainy or nasty, I will almost always take my other turbo, the 6,000 pound F150 Ecoboost :-)
my turbo is an all weather car, i've still not found a reason to ever turn it on other then to make sure it works lol

Thanks for this Paul. I was washing my car the other day and the rear wiper came down abruptly and scratched the crap out of the side While I like the wiper, I don't like it enough to keep enduring scratches, so it is going to be deleted. I pinged them to see if they had another color besides Arctic Silver, which would be close but I'd like Polar or black.

IF your car is black or you can handle one of these colors, it's a $1 mod.

P.S. It isn't really any hassle at all pulling the wiper and installing the bumperplugs plug. You can even do the whole job by yourself.
Really? I find it very useful in all the rain we get here; I just glazed the glass so for the most part, the water just runs off.

It's when I sit in traffic I use it.

Yes, that would be irritating.

Funny, when I change the blade I always check to see how much slck there is in the arm... How did it get the paint?

I had the rear wiper pulled back to clean the rear window glass. The blade pivots to what I would call a vertical position when the wiper arm is in the "up" position. I bumped the wiper arm and it sprang to the "down" position. The bottom of the wiper blade contacted the paint and gouged it to the metal. I was pissed at myself, and the wiper.

I treat the rear window with Rain-X and I have never had a problem with water hindering my vision through that window, so not having a rear wiper is absolutely no loss for me.

I know, holy thread resurrection Batman ... !!

I'm looking to do a rear wiper delete, but can no longer find Alloy & Carbon's products on Ebay or Amazon. The OP posted a link to A & C's website which was faulty then, and still doesn't work, he also posted an Ebay link which no longer works.
Has anyone bought one of their wiper delete kits recently ? If so does anyone have email address I can contact them on ?
Many thanks.
