ahhhhh yes, problem solved. The problem: the fuel pump whined when I purchased the car…no prob, 16 year old pump that’s to be expected.
Replaced fuel pump, sender and fuel filter….(noticed white liquid coming out of fuel filter when I replaced it), retained original venturi tubes. Once complete, still had a whine.
Long story short, siphoned every drop of fuel out of the tank, spent a few hours contorting my body, bruising my arms, destroying a microfiber wheel cleaner, and 10+ microfiber towels wiping and cleaning the recesses of the fuel tank. Lots of white sediment down in the two lower recess of the tank, almost chalk like.
Purchased new venturi tubes, and BINGO No whine! The cherry on the cake, sent Sam the logs and she’s running like a stuck pig and she’s healthy!
Now its time to correct the paint and enjoy!!!!

Reason number 2,345 to reset the maintenance on a used toy. I finally got around to replacing the transmission and front diff fluid yesterday. As always, I open the fill plug first just to be sure I can get it off. When I removed the “Fill Plug” on the transmission at least 1.5 quarts came spewing out….yup, rookie mistake, someone filled it via the plug above the output shaft…
…and that’s why
…and that’s why

@tank95, Nice ride and great job sorting out your car so fast.
My car appears to be in similar condition that needs some tlc and enthusiast service/maintenance. I've only done a oil change and front pads on mine so far because my lack of garage space. Have my 996TT and C63 squished in my garage so don't want to shuffle cars around. Wish I had you garage space and lift. Hope my C63 sells ASAP so can do what you've done. Planning on doing exactly what your doing: go through fuel system, exhaust, coilovers, possibly CSF radiators/hoses, full detail, any plastic and rubber that's deteriorating.

Such a beautiful day here in NC, had to take the toy out after church for a Sunday drive. Took the camera of course…
What an amazing vehicle. Money well spent!
