PS... I have a new-in-box OEM accumulator (Corteco) that I will now never need if someone is looking for one. Pelican gets $148, How about $110 shipped?

So for those who have done the clutch interlock defeat modification, do you leave your car in neutral when parked?

mmmmm, never thought of that - not sure how much "clutch pedal push" you need to slide into neutral before starting. I like to park in gear, so I will be checking before I undertake the mod.......

Yes, ocasionally I'll put in gear if on a hill or at the track and don't want to set the brake when hot.
Just wiggle the shifter before you start it, like I've been doing forever.
ItsI nice to be able to start you car standing outside it.

Perhaps if I parked on the street in San Fransisco, i'd be parking in gear with my wheels turned to the curb... In my garage or a typical parking lot, I have no worries about leaving it in neutral with the handbrake on.

I pretty much always do the "neutral rattle" before turning the key in any standard transmission car, perhaps from learning on and having many manuals over the years that relied on the driver to not do stupid things rather than interlock switches...

If there is any chance that my parked car will roll if left in neutral without the parking brake set (and there are many parking spots I use where this is true), I leave the transmission in either 1st or reverse with the parking brake set. This means that in these potential "roll" situations I don't rely solely on the parking brake to prevent the car from rolling

that would increase the likelihood and chance of this happening to 100% lol.

???

If it can roll I leave it in gear and set the parking brake. Other than carrying a pair of wheel chocks for the wheels this is the best I can do if there is no side curb.

Dock: I leave it in first usually but wondering where you got the idea to park it in reverse? I recall Saab used to do this, but I would not think to try this on a Porsche.

I use two safety "systems" to help prevent rolling.

I leave it in reverse if I will be backing out of the parking spot.
