Default Is a set of x50 intercoolers worth it for a stock 996tt?

Have an opportunity to purchase a set of "new" x50 intercoolers (bought new, never put in) for a decent price.

Is this a direct bolt on? Is mounting bracket and / or hoses different? Imagine no real HP gains at the moment until stock turbos are upgraded.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure the internal capacity is identical, the X50 coolers have extended cooling "fins", the units themselves are not any bigger but slightly more efficient due to extra fin length.

Little to no improvement. Not worth the effort.

These prices can't be real? $310? Must be overlooking something.

U need at least 3.5 inches or 4 inches in thickness to see real gains. Even oem GT2 intercoolers are lame compared to say Evoms or SRM/Marski Tunning etc.

No. The best oem upgrade is the 997.2 intercoolers if memory serves. Even the 996gt2 ones weren't hardly any better than stock.

Depending on type of turbo and ambient temps and how hard you are pushing the engine. I have the gt2/x50 intercooker and noticing less loss of power from heat soak running 26/24 turbos. Ran modified k16 with on stock ic and experienced earlier loss of power from heat soaking. IMO, Nor worth losing intake response by increased volume by upgrading to 3.5 - 4” ic on smaller stock turbos.
