FS: OEM 996GT3RS carbon/kevlar hood
Up for grabs is my spare OEM 996GT3RS carbon fibre / kevlar composite hood. The hood is brand new. Fit and finish is flawless and unlike anything on the aftermarket. There is a hint of a carbon weave showing though the top gelcoat and the hood is meant to be painted body color unlike the OEM bare carbon hoods on the later 997 cars. The hood is amazingly stiff due to the kevlar/carbon sandwich construction yet weighs in at 16lbs which is over 20lbs lighter than the OEM steel hood. The RS hoods now retail over $9K at the dealer and are only available in Germany.
$4995 Denver pick up. I would prefer not to ship this due to the size and the requirement to build a custom crate but would be willing to do so time permitting. I would estimate the cost to build a crate and insured shipping to be about $400 CONUS.
