Hey fellas. My name is Val and I just bought my first P car. Ive been hot rodding old Volvos for the last 18 years and finally had a chance to purchase a car I've wanted since I was a kid. I found this 04 Cab in the Houston Craigslist while I was vacationing in South Carolina last month, flew down, and drove it 17 hours back to Ohio. The car came with some aftermarket bits like HR coilovers/sways, a tune, Escort 9500ci hardwired radar system, and aftermarket stereo. It was a pretty high specced car from the factory. Heres some pics of my recent Volvo and the 911.

How does the 996TT rack up against the Volvo?
I was a Volvo mechanic in the early 80s, i have a soft spot for them.

Well... I would reverse that statement and ask how the Volvo stacks up against the 996. And the answer is no comparison Lol. Theyre two very different cars. The 5 cyl motors in full boost do sound good though so theres that.

Also, just hit the 100k mark. I was lucky to have Rennsport put a new clutch in right before I bought it.

super easy when you're a Volvo guy of the dozens I've had, still miss my '94 850T 5spd the most... blue track Canisto's with v710's to ensure proper Vette trolling at track

Oh man thats awesome. My favorite 850 was my R. Bought it back in '03 and owned it for more than 10yrs before finally scrapping it.

Congrats! Beautiful car! Pretty much every option other than sport seats - $162k+ sticker price is about as high as I can remember seeing. As for hitting the 100,000 mile mark, you realize that means you are only looking at another 200,000 miles or so before you have to start thinking about an engine rebuild, right?
