Default Show me your wings!

So I had an engine fire a couple of weeks ago while at Road Atlanta and the hydraulics were damaged. Want to replace with a GT3 RS style wing or something similar that gives actual downforce. Looking for suggestions, pricing, and driving impressions from some of you have done this already! TIA!

Woah!

what was the source of the fire?

any pics of the damage?

sorry to hear.

The GT2 wing is a great option, just be sure to supplement it with some proper front downforce to balance the car.

Sorry to hear about the engine fire. Any idea the cause? I have a ruf wing coming soon. I think it’s the best wing made for the car honestly. Looks are subjective I know. They just made a few recently. I can point you in the direction if needed.

Mine is similar to docwyte's in that it is a GT2 style wing, but mounted on the movable rams (originally the OEM rams, but I later upgraded to Dave's Rennkit eRams). It sits lower than the fixed position GT2 wing, but then rises 4 inches at speed. It was on the car when I bought it, but I'm fairly certain it is a Misha GT2 "Add-On" wing.

Byron,
I've got a mint condition deck lid if you're in need. It's complete with tail light and engine bay fan, and has the wiring harness in place. Bonus, if you're going in the fixed-wing direction, this deck lid is already wired for hydraulic system bypass, so no warning lights on the dash. PM me if you're interested.

Best of luck with the rebuild!

You can source a 997 TT wing on eBay and use our eRam Kit to operate it as well...

GWIT996F, the *** end on your car looks great with those taillights and the color matched bumperettes! At the very least, I need to do those bumperettes soon. It really cleans the rear end up on these cars.
