What color is that cover? I’ve got a Porsche cover that’s grey, albeit bought used, and the darned thing is so tight I can feel the little bits of dirt grinding into the paint when I put it on. It also doesn’t clear the wing based on where the license plate window sits. On sites like Suncoast they just advertise a “996” cover. Is yours specifically for the wide body turbo? Where did you purchase?

The Turbo one should actually say "996 Turbo" on the part that goes over the front lip. It's definitely tight (which is why I don't use mine more -- my car is rarely clean enough) but fits like a glove.

Call Suncoast. They have the correct cover for whatever car you have. When i specified i had a factory aerokit Turbo she got me the right one which fits perfectly over the wing and aero front lip. The cover is light grey.

Based on my most recent experience, I would suggest a moving blanket style cover. I bought this cover for my 03 tt to avoid anyone in the family walking by the car and scratching it. I was not expecting it would come in handy when we had to put the dog in the garage when we had company over. Fortunately there was no damage to the car.

^ where did you purchase that moving blanket style cover?
It looks like it fits really well and I like the idea of padding to keep from careless people bumping into the car or scratching it. I could prob toss it right over my factory Porsche Cover

I found it on Enay in black, for $349 with a $10 coupon code for $339 shipped, for a 996 turbo with auto wing. They promised delivery between Nov 9to 20th. Must be custom made. Grey is $40 more....cute dog not included..c

Enzo and Sir Colin approve of this thread. I name the dogs. The wife names the children.
I can second the factory softcover. Fits super tight and doesn't take a ton of space when off the car. Easily fits in a 13 gallon trashbag. Downsides are that it is tight against the wheels and will pick up tire dressing which can be unsightly on your fancy Porsche cover.

I have a Coverking indoor cover that fits nicely on my 6T. It's fleece inside, stretches and has elastic around the edge. It's custom made to the shape of the turbo and asks if you have the aero package so I assume very custom fit. I like the little bit of padding the fleece ads and it folds up pretty small
