996TT Rear Spoiler Warning Light Problem
I removed the hydraulic spoiler and fixed it in the up position. I followed these instructions
1- Unplug the Thick Green/Blue, by pulling it out of the harness (ground for Spoiler motor) and Tape this up
2- next connect Grey/Brown (Spoiler switch) with Yellow/Green (Spoiler Positive)
This didn't work so I looked more into it and found some info about how the micro switch need to be correctly set up.
So I clipped the micro switches off and did this
1- Make the gray cable and the black cable have continuity at all times. This can be done by cutting the cables from the switch and connecting them together.
2- Cut the cables from the micro-switch that have the blue cable and black cable and isolate them with electrical tape in order to prevent continuity from them.
Still no luck. The Spoiler Warning still comes on when I hit 120 kph and then every 15 min after clearing the warning.
Any one know the solution or is this something I need to bring into the dealer to disable the rear spoiler with their software?

We have a MicroModule Device that prevents the warning.

Also found on Suncoast the wiring harness
Which also says If you have a spoiler warning light on your dash, you will have to visit your local Porsche Service Department to disable the Spoiler Warning Light. So I am thinking cheapest solution is to have them disable the msg with their computer.
Found another cheaper option here that says it turns off the warning error. Since I have already modified the existing harness I am not sure the rennkit one will work.

If you have not completely removed any wires from the harness (very unlikely) the MicroModule Device will work. email me and I'll send the hookup diagram. Please ID yourself in the email with your Rennlist name.

Huge shout out to Dave's eRam! I installed the 4" this weekend and it looks great. No more error code and it looks great in the rear view mirror. The eRams were fully synced on first operation with perfect spacing off the trunk.
The install was pretty straight forward and Dave's instructions were solid. I ran into a problem when removing the engine cover / fan shroud because 3 of the bolts spun in place. Solved by cutting out the plastic with a round saw drill bit meant for drilling holes in doors for locks (small bit, about a 50 cent piece).
I sent Dave some observations regarding the install procedure. PM me if interested.
FYI - I posted this in the wrong thread earlier (ABS/PSM) so I'll apologize for the duplicate.
