Bosch EV14 1000cc injectors
Hi folks, looking into some upgrades on my 996 tt and just wondering if anyone has experience with going to larger injectors from OEM? I have read in several paces that it is ok as long as the tune compensates for the other variables. I am getting the turbos (k16s) upgraded to clipped billets. But I am also curious if the EV14 Bosch bodies the correct bodies. I read that one can go as high as 1000cc's. I don't care to change the intercoolers at this time. I do have Fabspeed headers and exhaust (one piece can), as well as EVO intake and diverter valves. Anybody to help me on a conservative upgrade? Thanks in advance.

I went to larger injectors as provided by my tuner as part of a package when I installed UMW's ZC turbos.
You mentioned the tune compensating for "other variables", so I'd infer you have a tuner and they should provide you the information if they're worth a crap.
What do you mean by "conservative"? A tune is conservative, turbo swapping gets you on your way down the slope.
Have you taken baseline logs to determine the current performance of your engine?
Assuming you don't have a tuner and are putting together a package yourself, consider the damage you can do with a bad combination of parts & tune.
You'd get out of conservative and into expensive problems quick. The seller I bought from had a bad parts/tune combo on the car and it junked the motor, cost him $30k+ for a new factory replacement motor. Do yourself a favor and work with a good tuner that looks out for you and your wallet.

I'd argue to go with Bosch Motorsport injectors... when the OEM's build a racecar, who do you think gets the contract for injectors...

I have a brand new OEM fuel pump sitting on a shelf. Thinking of installing a walboro 450 in the stock basket. Any of you guys running pump controllers with it? Thinking of mating it to smaller injectors.

Three Wheelin'
Do the drill mod to the Walbro 450 before installing... gives you a lot more room to grow, up to 50% more flow. The 450 cannot support more than 80 PSI fuel pressure and if you're on a 5 bar regulator then you don't really have any room for pressure to rise with boost.

fair enough, my argument is I don't want/need after service (80,000km on my 72lbs'er so far without a single hiccup (and EPL tuning) )
