Idiot of the day
However, the 996, with all its face-melting goodness, is and always will be, butt ugly. Even with wheels and a suspension drop, it suffers from the same kind of corner-cutting, ovoid build quality that you’d see in a Ford of the same era, and if you’re honest in where your allegiances truly lie, you’ll admit that the 996 is what you’d buy if you couldn’t afford a 997. https://jalopnik.com/get-your-bank-account-ready-the-porsche-997-turbo-just-1791362708/amp |

https://jalopnik.com/get-your-bank-a...1791362708/amp I have never had anyone call my car ugly, that's for sure. |
What a “TOOL”......... |
some writers intentionally write things to upset people. look how you promoted his article.
who cares what anyone thinks anyway...I love my car:) that is all that matters really. |
As they say in media, you need to be loved or hated. It's indifference that will end your career. He's choosing hate and it's working.

Even though round, I found the 993 headlights to be off putting. Bet this clown would swoon over them. The more I get to know my 6tt the better I like the headlights, and for sure the whole package. |
Opinions. I prefer 993 and 997 looks but still bought the 996. To each his own I suppose.

He probably thinks the GT1 is fugly as well... |
He is just looking for clicks on his own posting. This may help you understand just how irrelevant and obnoxious this guy really is. (Same guy who authored that trash) |
LMAO, just clickbait trash. Basically everything that's wrong with the Internet today.

Tavarish is another one of the scum of the web looking for clicks. Lack of any sort of skill other than messing things up seems to be the name of the game between him and Hoovie. Part of the generation of those who like to just watch stuff burn.

I do believe that Tavarish is a Rennlister, however. I never figured out his Rennlist username, but there were a couple of articles he wrote about 3 years ago that were timed exactly when the topic was being discussed in the NA 996 forum. Actually, one of them was an article on my car when it went up for sale. I posted in the NA Forum that I had put down a deposit on it, and a couple of days later he wrote an article on it:
https://jalopnik.com/why-buy-a-musta...-hp-1730347996 Maybe it was just coincidence that he picked my car out of all of the 996TTs on the market, but it had happened previously on another NA 996 forum topic (or two). Anyhow, I'm surprised that he was crapping on the 996 so badly in that 997 article. Maybe it was just to prove the thesis of the article, but he has written positive articles about the 996 in the past. The article cited by rick in the first post is actually from January 2017. Now that the 996TT has definitely increased in value since 1/2017 (it's a small increase, but definitely an overall increase), I wonder if he still feels so negatively about the 996 design. |

Yeah, that was a tough read. I stopped following Jalopnik a while ago. Today's "writers" seem more concerned with adding corny jokes, and stupid innuendos versus sticking to simple facts with a little added narrative. |
