19" wheels yea or nay ?
Anyone running 19" wheels on your 996tt ? Please share your opinion of them.

Nay. They look goofy on a 996. The car's proportions were designed for 18"s.

Huh? That's just not true at all.
yes completely false |
How about road feedback..... handling, noise?

Had 19s, hated the harshness. Much prefer 18s.

No issues with my 19"s. Don't feel much difference between 18"s and 19"s for me. No rubbing at all and my car is lowered on KW's

with proper suspension 19's aren't harsh... I had a set(came as part of a deal) of 20's on my GT2 for a week without issue
have been thinking of going to 19's for tire selection reasons |
My only experience with 19s was when I test drove one that was stock but with 997tt wheels. I was driving a lot of 996TTs at the time so had a good basis for comparison--it felt like riding on Fred Flintsone's rock wheels. I'm sure it can be made to ride ok, but wouldn't recommend just slapping them on a stock suspension. |

Don't do 19s your car will blow up...;-) Mine has been fine for 10,000 miles. I went with 245/35 and 305/30 in s04 Bridgestone and they ride way better than the hankook v12s the PO had on the factory 18s.

19's are harsh on the street if you drive harshly. if you drive to cars and coffee. 19's will get you there in style.
run 18's to maximize the optimal setup. which is 18's at gt2 height and sizes. that said? do what you must. |
