Take out your spark plugs and check your gap. When your gap is to much thats when misfires happen. .028 should be good for you right now. Your probably .036 which is to much.

Its your spark plugs.

As long as you are checking your plugs, I’d make sure you have the right brand and heat type in there. Nothing worse than having the wrong style plug installed.

If car ran fine without MAF, why would you think plugs are the issue?

UPDATE

Investigate misfire on cyl 1,2,3.
>> Found Vario cam solenoid bank1 faulty and not functioning so replaced.
>> Slight misfire still persistent.
>> Renewed vario lift solenoid bank 1.
>> Replaced all 6 spark plugs.
>> Check fuel pressure all ok.
>> Replaced 3 coils on bank 1 to no avail so removed.
>> Check with plug in test light activation of vario lift solenoid.
>> Checked earth for coils. ok
>> Renewed fuel filter and topped tank up with fresh fuel.
>> Swapped vario lift solenoids side to side and metal retaining brackets side to side to no avail.
>> Removed Vario lift solenoids and fuel pump fuse and cranked engine until oil emerged out of both holes.
>> Refitted solenoids and misfire gone but come back after 1 heat cycle.
>> Re-fitted vario lift solenoids and fitted new retaining bracket on bank1. Misfire not as bad but still present.
>> Road tested car and all tested ok no misfire present, Re-tested on 2 separate occasions and all tested ok.
>> Give to customer to further test

Misfire is still there.

Check both banks' lambda values to be equal.
