Default 996 turbo side skirts

Good afternoon folks. Wow it's been a while since I've been on the forum. Early this year Freddy asked me if I would be interested in designing and making some side skirts for his car. Well here are the pictures of the end result. These replace the plastic lower valance on the rocker panels.

How are you going to paint them? I've been thinking about that and thought to paint the vertical part to color match and leave the bottom horizontal portion of the skirt black would look really nice.

It will match the factory body and I already have your front pieces in that color. All we need now is a matching rear diffuser

I wanted to do a diffuser. Unfortunately the donor car has no motor or transmission. Couldn't do anything for design or attachment. Hopefully some day I can get a car for the design work.

Completely random question Joe-

Do your dive planes fit in a way that can run double set ie- stacked, 2 per side kinda like the Viper ACR?

Not in full length. With the contour of the bumper the top dive plane would need to be shortened to about half it's original length.

Super happy this all worked out joe. Excited to get them on my car to. I might paint the upper half of mine.body color and leave the outer part place to match with the lip. We will see.

as for the diffuser, I'm still going to make a large one out of alum for my car, might be bigger than what most guys want but I might be able to get you measurements to design one Joe. I know we talked about it in the past as well.

Can't find a picture of it but I've run a set of the narrow and wider set of dive planes simultaneously on a 996 TT and GT2 bumpers.

My car is very low, I'm concerned about destroying the side skirts with a jack as much as my car goes up. And down.

I love the tooth front splitter!

But those side skirts look like optional Cayenne/Macan steps to get into the vehicle.

Just sayin. Would never put them on my turbo.

well for us guys looking at the aero part, it's huge. It to each his own. Once they are mounted on a few cars and there are more pics, I think most guys will dig them more.

I did a test fitment on the left side prior to paint since it's going to be a while. No issues with install or using my lift as usual with race ramps. They'll look a lot better with paint
