Rear Spoiler Button does nothing
Hey all, I am just going over a few little house cleaning things as spring/summer takes off.
I was just wondering if anyone knows why?
key is in 1 o clock positon = on, engine not running.
I push the spoiler button but nothing happens.
does the car need to actually be running?
the engine fan works so it cant be a fuse?
not sure how long it has been this way
any thoughts?
Thank you!

-When I wash the car I just put the key in position 1 and push the spoiler button once to raise it and to lower it I have to keep the button depress until the spoiler is completely down....Start by looking at the switch and after you will have to look at the relays, one for extend and one for retract. Unfortunately both relays are in support #2 position 3 and 9 beside the ecu behind rear seats..... Ignition switch can also be at fault!

mmmmm Not working, yet no dash warnings.......possibly faulty hydraulics AND prior owner wired around the warning. Mine was not functioning properly so I disconnected the power leads from the "pump" which stopped any further wear, but I still got the warnings every time the system tried to raise the spoiler at 75.

This can be quite the project. Mine is not a daily driver so I had plenty of time to remove the system and work off-car in the garage. You never know until you dig in......mine was a simple clean and refill / bleed. Hopefully you are lucky also. Lots of write-ups on these things. I found a good source for the copper washers (there are 8 total) if you need it. They let you buy only as many as you need. I did buy the special "wrench" for spoiler removal, so my only costs were the wrench & washers, I lucked out.

I strongly recommend that you verify and make sure your limit switches are connected and working. If not you will break the nylon drive block in your pump assy.
Regardless, give the fill and bleed a go.. One hopes that the wing will move up and down>>if not you have a pump drive failure.
