Has anyone polished the inside of their exhaust tips?

I've seen posts here with pictures and discussion regarding polishing the inside of the exhaust tips.

I only polish the outside of the exhaust tips, because the amount of work to keep the inside polished is way beyond what my time and motivation will sustain, especially considering how quickly they will turn black again.

Regardless of carbon, the center web of mine turns blue from heat. After a track day the whole inside is off white. I still polish the outside and the edge of the opening as best i can every timei wash the car

Another option is to have the tips ceramic coated black (not painted or powder coated-it will burn off). It looks good, and the soot just blends in.
