^^ If there’s no obvious leakage most likely water vapor leak from the cap. Some early resovior caps had issues with leaking water vapor

Check that both your front radiator fans still work while you have it apart. Both of mine failed. I noticed it when my air conditioner stopped cooling when I would come to a stop and start cooling when I was moving.

Jason! Yes, I had already ordered my radiators... without any help... online. They've since arrived and are, of course, the wrong parts... the entire lot of them. I wish I might have spoken to you earlier. It reminds me of my sons famous line: "dad, I fixed it myself and now the car won't run". Sometimes a good parts man is way better than e-bay.
I believe that these are the wrong hose ends for the 996tt quick connect hoses. I'll check this out further when I get home.

New radiators arrived ahead of schedule. Thank you Warehouse33 for the excellent service. New rads and hoses, repaired a shroud, bumper cover repair and re-spray, new spoiler lip... I think that the nose of the car should be in tip-top shape now. I'll put on a new coolant tank cap and watch to see if the coolant level stays up.

Found it. It seems to be seeping from above the water pump. I found a small stream of coolant tracking down from what appears to be the top of the motor down a manifold atop the water pump to finally drip at a pipe union. I don't know how my indy missed it on the pressure test... Maybe it's gotten worse. Can anyone tell me if there is an epoxyed water tube in this location ?
I.e. is it likely that the motor has to drop and pin/weld the tubes?

It looks like that manifold has 3 glued in water pipes. Sad to have to drop the motor to get to them. Glad to have the coolant system made reliable.

So it looks like the "state of the art" is re-gluing and pinning rather than welding.(?) Also, replace the plastic elbows to oil cooler when in there. (?)

Belts, assorted hoses, pre-cat oxy sensors, water pump, plugs/coilpacks, ck plastic hold-down for cam sensor, water cooler elbows... Anything else to replace when engine is dropped?

You can get to those 3 fittings with the engine in the car. It is fairley east to pin all the fittings except the 2 under the oil cooler wirh the engine in the car. Pinning is good for any fitting that shows no signs of movment or weeping. If one is leaking its a mater of hours till it blows. Leakers must be removed and re-glued and pinned or welded. Check the Sharkworks site and draw your own conclusions. Oh no, i have provided an opinion on welding or pinning, this thread will go on forever. Also if one is leaking the others may be more likely to go based on the quality on the snitzel in the porsche cafeteria in the day of assembly.
