Prices softening?

On what basis do you say that?

Air-cooled prices, except for 356C models, have retreated quite a bit. But they are still higher than they were before the recent surge.
996TT prices are still rising. There are sellers here and there letting them go at below average prices so there are still good deals out there.

In my last couple of months searching for a decent 996t on the West coast, I found that dealers were pricing the cars 5k+ ahead of KBB. Moreover, they were unwilling to sell at anything close to KBB.

Pricing of nice west coast 996 turbos are still on the rise. Slim pickings for pristine examples, clean modified versions seem to go quick at higher price. Not sure if market corrections will effect much. Even at the recent uptick in prices the 996 turbos are extremely undervalued.

KBB is not a good reference for niche cars like a 911 Turbo. It's only a good source for Nissan Altimas and that kind of cars.

Purely observation but I’ve noticed the price margin between 997.1tt’s and 996tt’s is narrowing. I think that’s really the best way to tell with any cars by looking at mod l succession.

Tough to say. I know in CA, clean examples aren’t cheap, and are only going up. And if we’re talking x50, or an S, then the prices are even higher. Thankfully I got my S about 2 years ago, and I’m pretty sure it’s gone up a bit.
