Default Back in the game with an ‘02 X50

Hello all,
After having a couple of air cooled 911s and a 968, I recently picked up this ‘02 996tt with the X50 option. It’s seal grey with a black sport interior and has 45,700 miles. I was originally looking for an 2009 or newer 997S but couldn’t pass up the value on this fully stock 996tt, especially with the X50.

The car was delivered last Saturday from Wayne Carini’s F40 Motorsports in CT. Love this car. It’s super quick. Only issue is the common rear wing fault. The wing raises and lowers fine, but has a leak in the left ram. Been researching and I’m guessing I’ll go with the electric kit from rennkit.

Nice car. I have the same color combo w/o x50. Had the exact same spoiler issue, went with the E-rams and been fine ever since.

I was curious who bought that car. I saw it on Second Daily a few times with RNM until they finally lowered the reserve.

Wow! Nice example! So want to find one like that around here for myself.

Any chance you'd share approx. Asking price and Purchase price, so us in the market can gauge.

Mileage too plz.

I believe this is the car. It was originally listed on Pelican.

Yes that is indeed the car. Both Second Daily and F40 were great to work worth during the auction and buying process respectively.

Did you get to meet Wayne? Roger might be more interesting.

Unfortunately I did not. I was invited up to see the car before it shipped for a tour of the shop, but I couldn’t find the time to make it up there. Bummer.

congrats on the acquisition. the car had a faulty spoiler and was sold by those tv car people? i am embarrassed for them. nonetheless, a simple fix. enjoy the car.

Congratulations, its a beauty. Wayne should have contacted me for the eRam set. Glad you researched and decided to ditch the troublesome hydraulics and go with Rennkit eRam setup. Don't forget the Rennlist5off discount code when you order.

Aftermarket exhaust?
The x50 usually came with the half circle on full circle exhaust tips...I thought it was standard (vs option).
