Default Time to say goodbye.

It was time for my Turbo to go to a new home after over 5 years of ownership.
The car couldn't have gone to better home, an Australian forum member has bought it through word of mouth , so it was a no hassle sale but in turn he has bought a very well sorted out car.

Just want to thank everyone on here that has guided me through the thick and thin of this fabulous journey, many thanks and much appreciated.
I'll be checking in here from time to time.

Merry Christmas to all.
Cheers
Jim

Good to hear the car went to a new home, im sure you are sad to see the car though in a small part though. Did you replace it with something else, or just life getting in the wwy of enjoyment?

Yes quite sad, had lots of good memories in an amazing car. Best part is I gained a new friend who is the new owner and will regularly catch up for mountain drives.
The turbo became my daily car and wasn't really practical for a family, even though my wife has a larger car. I replaced it with a Lexus IS350.

I purchased a GT4 in June 2016 which definitely helps fill the fun factor void. I absolutely love this car, not as quick in the straights as the Turbo but does everything else better.IMO .

Congrats on the GT4, I've been stuck behind a couple of them at the track.

sorry to hear that you're parting with your Turbo, but in the end, they're just cars and other priorities do exist. I couldn't drive mine every day, not here in SF. Welcome to Club Lexus, I daily drive a '12 LS460, it's big and comfy and has a V8. Total other end of the spectrum compared to the 996 Turbo!

I'd love to actually drive one, they sound great and are very capable on the track out of the box. Prices seem to have softened a little now that the speculators/flippers are done.

Yes chalk and cheese which is exactly how I like it, it makes driving the GT4 all that more special.
