Default Books/Resouces for 996TT

Hi Everyone,

I would like to know if there are any books associated with the 996TT.

We purchased out '03 996tt in July and we are trying to get some good DIY books about the vehicle.

Something I am struggling with is how to do simple maintenance.....the you tube vids are fine and have learned a ton
after taking the entire front end off..but now it is time to do more maintenance to our 996TT.

Any and ALL suggestions on resources please let me know.

Thanks!

P.S. still trying to find maintenance manuals and things related. I will be doing the first for us "oil change" in the next month as I do
not trust what was done previously. After selling my plane, and doing all the MX on her, I want to simply want to understand what I can
do and what sometimes others arent't as careful as I am.

So much information is online.... Full factory service manuals available online... So many videos and project information on Rennlist, Rentech, SixSpeed, and Pelican.

But if you like to have books, Wayne Dempsey's '101 Projects for your 911 (996/997)' has great descriptions and great pictures. Not turbo specific, but there is a ton of commonality on most services except engine specific.

The full service manual can sometimes be a bit tedious, and often there are shortcuts not mentioned in the manual, but kind of a must-have for the DIY turbo mechanic. Several sites have it for download.

And the full Porsche parts manual (PET) is indispensable when trying to figure out what part number you need to order.

Helpful from time to time and has some good data across models years and variants.

My first look is always to the factory manual, though.

I've got 2 copies of the "The Essential Companion" if you want a deal on one.
