Default 2005 Turbo S - 6sp Cab for sale

Saw this on Craigslist, looks like a driver quality car. It's in Denver even though it's an Albuquerque listing ,it was posted 3 days ago.

Also looking at the picture of the frunk open, you can see it’s missing the battery cover and right side cover also. Any turbo that is taken care of wouldn’t be missing those. Makes me wonder what else has been neglected.

No 3.8 ltr engine in that year, the cover over the battery and cabin filter missing.

They are a legit dealer, lots of mid range cars, though they frequently have a Porsche or two. Not really known for pristine high end cars, but not scammers either. Decent size building in the middle of car dealer row on S. Broadway, just south of Denver. Just down the street from the local Porsche franchise dealer, Stevinson Imports.

They list carfax reports for almost all of there cars, but the report on this car doesn't come up.

Nearby to me, if anyone was really interested I could do a renncheck. My guess is that it is a decent car with a handful of cosmetic flaws and possibly some deferred maintenance. I'm 100% a coupe guy, otherwise I might be interested for myself.

FYI... I checked out this car today out of curiosity. Just with a basic walk-around and short test drive, this is what I found. Honestly it's a bit of a mess.

Positives:
Exterior presents pretty well, no major dings/dents, wheels look great, carbon disks look unchipped, drove decently, good 0.9 boost, no funky noises, engine compartment looked fairly clean. And of course it's an 05 S manual...

I also saw the carfax, no accidents or other dings on the carfax, but also zero services shown except for a recent trip to the local Porsche dealer by the selling dealer. So essentially no service records other than what was just done to the car. 2 owner car, mostly in Florida.

Negatives:

This is with just what jumped out at me with a 2-minute walk-around and short test drive! By no means a thorough look.
  • Selling dealer says they did some paintwork to repair blemishes, extent unknown.
  • Selling dealer says they put on tires and brake pads. Hopefully the correct carbon pads as the sales guys seemed to not even know it had PCCB's.
  • Cabrio top inoperative, got stuck 90% retracted when I tested it. (dealer says they will fix)
  • PCM dead and scratched (dealer says they ordered replacement)
  • Interior fairly worn looking, the seats were just re-dyed by the selling dealer, not a great color match.
  • Drivers power seat fore/aft only, other directions inop. Probably a bad switch
  • Drivers side view mirror stuck in the photocrhromatic dim postion.
  • Glovebox lock missing.
  • Mirror adjustor trim loose
  • Vanity mirror covers missing.
  • Drivers side intercooler intake loose
  • Battery cover, passenger side under cowl cover missing
  • Frunk struts completely dead.
  • Motor mounts look worn.
  • Air filter looks dirty.
  • 'Oil Failure' indicator flashed during test drive, but car shows good oil pressure and level. No idea what this means.
  • Just a cherry on the cake, the lot kid spilled a coke all over the interior just before our test drive.
Overall, I'd say it's a hard pass unless it was WAY less $ or somebody spent serious bucks fixing all the broken stuff. Dealer claims they have already put $3K into it. Perfect example of why buying a sight-unseen 12 year old Porsche is a bad idea...
