Default 996 TT Stock Navi Radio

Greetings,

I purchased a nice 2004 996TT convertible a couple of months ago. As it is hybernating for the winter I am trying to find a stock navi headunit to replace the ugly aftermarket alpine system. I like my cars stock looking and I only listen to audiobooks.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Leo

Hi, Leo. I took delivery of my 2004 996TT convertible yesterday. It has the Navi system and manual and DVD, which all seem to work fine, and I plan to replace it with a (hopefully not too ugly) touchscreen CarPlay system. I don't have the timing established on the new install (first bid was painful) , but I think we can work somehing out.

Bill

I have a Porsche Becker Traffic Pro (I believe it was Tequipment added in my vehicle's life) that I replaced with an Alpine ILX-107 wireless CarPlay system. All it needs is another $10 GPS antenna since I had to cut mine to get it out of the dash. I remember the screen has a tiny bit of bleed/fade in the lower right hand corner, and it does have maps but they're from the mid 2000s.

Supports the cheap Becker AUX in cable in place of the CD changer input signal.
