Desert beige and it's not even close. I almost bought a middie in that color when I was looking for an air cooled. It was amazing to look at.

+1 for Lapis. I had a collection of Lapis on Grey going and tried to find a 996TT in lapis to complete it (955TT, 986S, 996.2 C2). Sadly I eventually gave up and got silver.

Colors on a Cab are very different (in my ever so humble opinion) than coupe. Lines are so different and the top can make a huge diff.
Your interior color will play a role as well.
Racing or Miami Vice colors old school vs current. So many choices so much fun.
