No not this time.

Same thing happened earlier this year when a McLaren 650 sprayed coolant all over, 10 cars crashed that day.

I think I'm going to take this track off of my bucket list.

What a terrible incident. Hope all involved are ok.

The ring is a cool track to visit, but all tracks are dangerous. I've hit coolant and oil on track several times. If you do enough events, eventually you're likely to suffer some bad luck. For those of us in North America, I don't think the ring is bucket list worthy. There are some great and rather long tracks around here that are less of a headache to get to, and you won't have to put up with public traffic...

Oh I don't know about that. The Ring is special. It is worth the trip IMO. There are 24 Hour races in the US as well - but there is only one Le Mans. And that is worth the trip too.

Don't think of the Nürburgring as a track if you go there for the tourist sessions. Think of it the way the organizers describe it: the worlds most beautiful, one-way country road. :-p

I agree - definitely worth the experience, even with the dangers, but be careful. I had loads of fun in the track prepped Suzuki Swift I took for 5 laps there, and I'm really happy I did not have a more powerful car my first time, I never thought 100bhp could be so much fun! Was still able to get it up to 200kph on some sections. The place I rented from spent about 30 minutes explaining the rules, common courtesies, dangers etc. which was priceless. The corner marshals were all at their posts and alerted of danger ahead, which it seemed there was every lap. Some of that probably had to do with the fact that it stopped raining a little while before the tourist session and there were parts of the track that were a little wet.
