Default Delray customs lights....should I buy?

About to pull the trigger on a pair of delray customs rear lights for my black 01' 996 turbo. Been reading good things about them. Any opinions on their quality or fit, looks etc? Thinking about going with the smoked/red for my black car.

Many many threads on these with some loving them and others not so much. Put a set of clears on mine along with a led third brake light and painted bumperettes. I think it modernizes the look but stays "original" looking if you get the lights that have the 997.2 look

i got practically the first set as they landed here from the far east as the importer was local to me. within a month or so, i already had a few led's fail in one of the the tails. delray replaced it with no questions asked and since then, i've had no problems.

not only do i prefer the look of them VS the "dingy" looking oems ( a never ending circular debate ) but i also appreciate the safety factor. they are VERY bright, and the clear white backups are almost a halogen quality and bring new meaning to the term "backup lights" which really helps if ever reversing at night. they are BRIGHT.

all in all, i'd get them again and love 'em. oh, and fit and finish is plug and play.

I'm looking for a set of fairly perfect OEM taillights if anybody has a set they want to sell reasonably... No microcracks, prefer no broken tabs, but would consider if they can be used with light-savers.

I have an extra set of smoked OEMs Paul. Some cracks in the tabs but externally perfect. I have a pair of light savers for them.

Personally I hate the look of the square reflectors behind the lens of the aftermarket led taillights. Instead I replaced the stock bulbs with led bulbs and I am very happy with the increased lighting (especially reverse) while still retaining the original look. I will start a thread this week with pics and part numbers for anyone interested.

I'll give you a call! Mine have two tiny micro-cracks in each, not a big deal but I notice it... Seems to be very common on 2001 Turbo's for some reason.

They are made by a firm in Taiwan. I had them installed here in Seoul for USD 850. I like them very much for the function and form. Had them over 1.5 years.. no problem.

I ended up doing the same thing and the crisp on/off of the LEDs makes a big difference. I just dont think there are any aftermarket tails at the moment that really look so great on the car that they're worth $800.

I have no idea. Whatever someone is willing to pay I guess. I don't know, 3 Benjamins? Seriously, I haven't even thought about it. I have them boxed up in my basement. I'll take some pics later this week.
