agree. i hate them also..and was on the fence about them until i installed them at delreys shop. with the smoked they are sufficiently obscured and can only really be seen if your nose is against the plastic. but with the "clear" lens, those weird reflectors are garishly visible and actually horrid looking. "smoked" suits me ha

Yup. Those are the cracks I'm talking about... I've seen it on dozens of Turbo's, all in the same spot. Two cracks on each light, always vertical, in the same spot, and of the same length.

What year is your Turbo?

My '02 looks like that, too.

I'll also mention that I believe those cracks can be fixed to look like new fairly easily... Inject some thin cyanoacrylate glue into the crack with a syringe, hit it with some baking soda filler/accelerator, repeat until filled. Afterwords, would probably need to sand and polish to get a perfect finish much like refinishing a yellowed headlight.

But I always like to have a backup plan in case things go really wrong, which is why I should go pick up Powderhound's tail lights!

No problems with my Delray taillights after 2 years. I have the clears. Really like the updated look.

Delreycustoms is a rip off. They wanted to charge me over $1k delivered to CA for their tails. They were even charging some ludicrous price for shipping from socal to norcal. I asked them to at least make a concession on the extremely high shipping charge and they told me to pound sand.

I then found some from design911 in the UK. Shipped from the UK the tail lights were about $750. A lot cheaper and out of principal, was very nice not to give delreycustoms my money.

Reviving and old thread...Curious, for those that went with the LED tail lights how are they holding up? Any problems or concerns develop over the years?

Cheers

Hey Freier, I had no issues with LED's burning out in mine...however the guy that just bought my car said my backup lights were not working. I never knew or noticed. Not sure what that issue was.

I liked the look of them. The guy that bought the car is going back to the OEM tails. If you want me to see if he's willing to work a deal on them, LMK.

Thanks JB...I do like the look, but not completely sold on them. Besides, with Club Volleyball dues coming up for the youngest, should probably act responsibly and avoid the urge to splurge...
